    Before creating an online webpage, it is important for an individual to acknowledge and understand the main purpose of what their website's content will provide and display. A New Hobby, (Photography).

    Are you an individual who is looking for a new hobby to help you pass some-time or simply for the entertainment itself? Photography can be an enjoyable and beneficial experience for an individual, causing one to develop new technological and social skills.

 

    Before jumping into the activity of photography, it is important to have acquired a preferable digital camera or an up-to-date smartphone that is capable of capturing well-defined and clear images. Another helpful piece of technology that can help with a photography interest/hobby is to have some sort of computer, laptop, or tablet device that has the ability to access a photo-editing software.

    Through the photo-editing software may be unimportant to those who are looking to use photography as a small hobby, by having a computer, laptop, or tablet device available, it is another convenient space for a person to store their photos. After taking a photo and feeling confident with its content and appearance, an individual then could use the opportunity to share their image with friends and family on any one of the various social media platforms that they please.

    Along with certain phone applications like, Instagram, a user upon this application can upload or take a photo and also have the chance to edit their chosen image with the application's own editing software. However, a person could also choose to perhaps develop their own photos and then have the opportunity to physically share their photos with people instead. Or do both!

    While being a novice on LinkedIn, an individual may slightly already feel familiar with the platform's layout, as it shares many similarities concerning with other popular social media outlines and designs. However, unlike many other social media organizations, LinkedIn offers a very professional and representable networking system that helps connect and inform eligible individuals with professional businesses and organizations.

    After creating an account on LinkedIn, individuals will then have the opportunity to generate and upload their personal and professional information upon the online platform. When uploading your personal and professional information, it is important to include a professional photo of yourself in order to provide a visual to connect you with your name.

    Along with creating your profile, providing information about your previous educational and work experiences will also help inform your potential profile viewers to learn a little more about your background. Another tip for uploading content onto your profile, is to be sure to provide an article about your background, intentions for being on LinkedIn, some information about your recent learning experiences, and some potential questions that you may have for a future employer.

    Another unique feature upon having a LinkedIn account is the ability of staying informed about any potential work experiences that you might find interesting and that you're qualified for. LinkedIn can also help its many members stay updated with news about their favorite or interested businesses and organizations.

Knollman's No-Bake Cookies with Oats!

    As a beginner, creating and managing a WikiHow account with its content may make an individual feel a bit overwhelmed. Though personally one may already know how to make their family's homemade recipe for, no-bake cookies with oats, it is a completely different process uploading the information and content onto the internet.

    However, although the digital process did take some time to comprehend and complete, the feeling of accomplishing this online content definitely feels worthwhile! When initially planning on a subject to write about, it is important for an individual to stay true to one's strengths and familiar knowledge.

    By using the WikiHow platform, this also gives the opportunity for a person to produce and share knowledge with the presence of a contributing online community. Besides learning how to code upon WikiHow, an individual might also enjoy producing and editing corresponding photos that can be displayed alongside your instructional dialogue.

    Before writing and coding a WikiHow project, an individual may want to consider capturing their visual aids first. When doing this, its important to also have adequate lighting for your product's materials. Definitely be sure to enjoy the project that you are explaining, or else this may be a daunting and exhausting task!

    In conclusion, the overall experience of creating a WikiHow account and content could potentially make an individual feel great about sharing their knowledge. Environmental Awareness!

    While living in the year 2020, there are a variety of issues and concerns that an individual should be mindful about. Environmental Awareness, however, definitely should be one of those primary matters to be thoughtful of. By implementing a few simple actions within one’s daily routine, our planet may have the opportunity and potential to preserve our environment for future generations to come.

 

    Although living in areas such as upstate and western New York, people can often forget about the fact that our planet’s ice caps are melting. By practicing simple actions, (such as turning off your unneeded lights at night), will not only help conserve energy, but will also help you save your money as well!

    With the fall season upon us and the winter season approaching, now is the perfect time for people to become more conscious about their energy demands. By becoming more mindful about our home’s energy usage, this will help reduce the demand of energy needed from fossil fuels.

    By forming an environmentally aware mindset, and developing environmentally beneficial habits, every individual’s collective efforts will dramatically help preserve our planet’s atmosphere. Along with our world’s ice caps melting, this is also causing our earth’s water levels to increase alarmingly.

Learning During COVID-19.

    Students across the country have traditionally been accustomed to learning within an educational classroom. However, they have been faced with the new challenge of learning strictly online. During the spring semester of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic first presented its madness towards traditional educational facilities. Professors and their students had suddenly become disconnected physically, causing new concepts of collaborating to emerge.

    The best and only true solution for professors and students to connect during this pandemic, has primarily been through a variety of compatible online platforms. Unlike the traditional learning experience, teachers and students had to quickly become capable of producing their studies strictly through phone calls, emails, and online video chat rooms. Instead of simply raising their hand within the classroom, students would now have to find a more sensible alternative way to communicate with their professors and peers via online.

    Prior to starting this fall of 2020 semester, the entire country’s educational facilities were very unsure about how to proceed with the semester’s instructions. As Buffalo State made their decision, professors and students would yet again be faced with the challenge of continuing their studies online. By gaining some experience thus far with remote online learning, here are a couple of tips on how to maintain a balanced learning experience during these COVID times.

 

    An important consideration for preparing to learn online, is to have a designated study area within or around your home. By having a certain space dedicated towards your studies, this may help an individual remain focused and engaged within their scheduled class times. Depending on the weather, it’s also a nice idea to try to get outside to try to get some fresh air from time to time. 

    

With having a convenient workspace, an individual can also have more control over how to conduct their communication skills via online. Being contained indoors for too long may be annoying to adapt to, but this is a perfect chance for an individual to practice their online communication skills. By becoming more vocal during a scheduled class session via online, students are given the opportunity to display their online communication skills directly from within the comfort of their own home. 

    

Although COVID has dramatically changed the traditional way for individuals to receive an education, this has not necessarily eliminated the opportunity for one to acquire knowledge. Being an efficient communicator and adapting to learn how to use these new technological methods of communication is critical towards one’s self improvement. Ultimately, an individual’s determination and ability to navigate through these new ways of communication, will determine one’s ability to learn during this global pandemic. 

Once Upon a Longboard!

    When I was a young child growing up in a rural community, skateboarding has and continues to be a great interest of mine. When I was gifted my first skateboard at a young age, I was unfortunately unable to comprehend how to perform tricks while riding on it. However, the feeling and ideology of just cruising on a board with wheels was simply incredible to me.

    In high school, during the summer of 2012, my parents purchased me a longboard for my birthday, causing me to discover an entire new hobby completely. By being unfamiliar with this type of board, I surprisingly adapted to its unique concept of mobility rather quickly. Having the opportunity to primarily focus on my cruising abilities, rather than my trick performing skills, made my riding experience magnificently better.

    Since then, I have been fascinated with the mechanics and skills that it requires to maintain and ride a longboard. As time has passed, my passion and knowledge upon this activity has only increased, leading me to curiously conduct research towards the activity. One of the most beneficial methods regarding to improving my knowledge and skills towards longboarding, has been conducting my own research upon the internet.

 

    Within my research online, I discovered a blog named, “Longboards and Longboard Accessories Buying Tips.” The information provided was pretty universal for beginners, but also to those who are already experienced within the sport.  Andrew S. Knollman

Andrew Knollman is a 25-year-old senior studying Public Relations and Advertising at SUNY Buffalo State College. In addition to his desire to work in the PR/Marketing field, he has an extensive background in customer service and management experience.

A native of Beaver Falls, NY, Andrew attended Beaver River Central High School, and graduating in 2013. Andrew prides himself on his work ethic and long lineage of experience at local farms, and numerous restaurant chains, including McDonald’s and Moe’s Southwest Bar and Grill. Each experience has taught him how to become a more efficient communicator, and to improve his leadership capabilities.

His biggest educational achievement was obtaining his Associates Degree in Applied Sciences at Jefferson Community College in 2016. When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys exercising, casually longboard, and spending time with his friends and family.
